- What is the Electricity Vending System (EVS)?
The EVS combines smart metering technologies with e-payment platforms to allow residents to monitor, control and manage their air-conditional (AC) usage within their individual premises at University.

EVS Credits will be sent shortly after purchasing.
- How much does the Air-Con cost?
Depending on the temperature set, it will cost approximately 35 cents/hour
(assumption temperature set is 24 Degrees Celsius)
- How do I monitor?
Residents can login to EVS website to monitor AC credits. The EVS website is
https://sutd.evs.com.sg/SUTD .
- What should I do if the meter does not reflect the credit I have just purchased?
The credit information will usually be updated shortly after the purchase. In the event of no credits reflected within the day, please contact the hotline or email for a check on the account.
- What will happen if I have forgotten to purchase sufficient EVS credits?
A notification would be via the Consumer Display Unit (CDU) when the AC credits falls below a leftover value of $5. To avoid disruption to AC usage, do perform timely top-up of the AC credit when the notification is received. Once the EVS credit is totally depleted, the air-conditioner would stop running till the account is top-up once again. The supply will be restored shortly after top-up of EVS credit.
- What happens if there is remaining credits?
SUTD has a NO refund/cancellation policy for the student housing air-con credits.
Individual users are encouraged to monitor the top up and usage amount.
- What do I do if this message is shown "You are not allowed to buy another package (Maximum TWO packages per household)"?
You may have been temporary blocked up due to the last cancellation of top-up process. Please contact EVS to conduct a manual reset or the account will reset on a daily basis at the end of the day.
